Under the supervision of ISD guest designer Claire Green and in collaboration with the various Picwik managers

Anne-Sophie Mouy, Yves Destombes, Thomas Climpont and the precious help of the psychomotrician Véronique Maindré.

In order to make up for the drop in sales and a lack of innovation in the world of outdoor toys, Picwik proposes to create their own range of huts. Following a market study, we noticed that this type of product is indeed offered by many other brands but that few stand out.

Picwic wants to touch most children with this new offer, our target is therefore between 3 and 10 years old but from the age of 7, we notice a disinterest for this type of product. How can we create a link between the hut and these children?

During our research with users, we were able to work with Véronique Maindré, psychomotrician, to help us understand the needs, behaviour and evolution of the children. We also organised round tables at Picwik with children aged between 3 and 10 years old in order to do activities and understand their behaviour with the hut.

We researched the hut, its origin, the link between the hut and the children, why they play with it.

This analysis allowed us to define the behaviour and needs of the child with the hut according to the different ages. We were able to conclude that the origin of the hut as a child came from its construction. Building a shelter, playing together, challenging each other, creating, etc. Conclusion that built our creative phase.

Propose a range of Picwic huts dedicated to the home and garden and which will evolve with the children and for the children.

The choice of the concept to be developed, agreed with our industrial partners and supported by Veronique Maindré, went to the concept offering the most possibilities of construction and personalisation adapting to the evolution of the child and to the different volumes of the rooms of the house. As far as materials were concerned, Picwik recommended plastic for economic and practical reasons such as lightness and weather resistance.

My Picwik hut.

For the product start, we offer a "My Picwik hut" starter kit composed of structural parts and "Chameleon" covering patches. This kit makes it possible to build a large number of different structures. The Chameleon range, with its simple shape, is designed to fill the structure and seduce children of different ages. Injected in polypropylene, flexible and transparent, the patches of the Caméléon range adapt to the curved parts of the structure and allow the voluntary or involuntary creation of different colours and lights.

To extend the kit or adapt it to the needs of the child who will benefit from it, two other ranges of patches are available.

The "Pop!" range, designed for younger children, with its softer shapes and two materials adapted to awaken the senses (PP and TPE), and the "Abracadabra" range, made of PP, dedicated to older children because it is more focused on reflection thanks to its fixing method. Together, the patches offer new possibilities to create a cocoon, to hide, to express one's creative side!

The linking elements are essential parts of the construction. They are designed to allow different connections: horizontal, vertical, right-angled. The patches can be fixed to the structure or to each other thanks to the same spaces between their extrusions.

All the parts are stored in packaging suitable for storage and transport.

Highlighting in the shop.

According to Picwik's DNA, all products can be tested in the shop, so we imagined a scenography adaptable to the different dimensions of the shop, with the product taking up the codes from the outside and the inside and allowing play
